Built as an office building in 1930, the William Oliver Building is one of the finest examples of Art Deco architecture in the southeast. Converted to residential use in 1996, in a joint venture with Stang and Newdow Architects, the building anchors the corner of the Five Points financial district. The building was renovated and converted into condominiums in 2002 and is the major residential component of the Fairlie Poplar Historic District.
